In my Fifties I was sure I was a wonder!I knew I didn't look it as most women don't these days. I lied about my age as young bosses in their thirties would treat me differently and not accept my "coolness" in their office jokes and evenings at the pub. I was high powered estate agent and rushed from appointment to staff meetings to sales and then out to evening events........................
..Towards the end of my Fifties,I found the effort too much trouble, the tedious office sexy innuendo boring and childish and going home to my foot spa something to look forward to!So I decided to retire gracefully.

60 !

I turned 60!..................Suddenly I started getting up in the night,something I had never done before!..............The doorbell made me jump!..............................I bent down and had to hold on to something to get up!...........................I got heartburn and thought I was having a heart attack!..........................My legs cramped in excruciating pain................................I seemed to drop EVERYTHING........................I started forgetting names.....................I was afraid of sneezing,coughing.laughing and running - just in case!.....My doctor told me I had an underactive thyroid ..................and I had a bad case of shingles...................
Oh no ! the beginning of the end! I was OLD................................................................
--Only a question of sorting out my affairs now.

Then guess what?.................."Mrs Cool"started to be honest.I talked to friends and even people I met in the Supermarket.Forgetting names became a common topic even in those thirty years younger than me! "Ouch" when seeing people getting up from bending down became a shared laugh................My friends all admitted they had backache,slowing down and illness scares........................Suddenly, I was NOT going to die - I AM growing older but I am the best I can be and with the grace of God I will get the best out of life and enjoy it to the full!.......................................................
